There was a yo-yo tournament in Phoenix he really wanted to compete in, and they decided to take the opportunity to visit the Grand Canyon and Sedona as well.
Overall he came in 6th, which he was thrilled with!

Arizona Trip!
The tradition in our family is that when a child turns 12 he can go on a big trip with Dad. So this year it was Colsen's turn and he chose Arizona!
There was a yo-yo tournament in Phoenix he really wanted to compete in, and they decided to take the opportunity to visit the Grand Canyon and Sedona as well.
The tournament was an exciting day -- best day of his life, Colsen says. (He's had a lot of those) He got to meet some of his big heroes, including Gentry Stein (HUGE name around this house!). To his great delight, he placed well in the Prelims round, which meant he was able to compete in the Finals -- the youngest contestant to do so.
Overall he came in 6th, which he was thrilled with!
Then off they went to do some fly fishing and hiking and touring.... From all reports it was the BEST TRIP EVER.
So glad they got to have the experience!
