Triple Winners!

It was a banner week in the Frank household....

First, Milo won the t-shirt design contest for his archery teams (with his slogan "2020-2021: the year everything was up in the air)...

Then Jinna won her CC class weekly contest by getting the most coins/points for the day...

... and then today Colsen won a big contest in his InventionLand class.  All semester the students have been working on inventions, coming up with prototypes, packaging, logo, commercial, and ultimately a presentation/pitch.  This week they presented to the judges and out of all the students in 2 classes, Cole was chosen as the winner for his "Easy Pour" spout invention.  Now he heads to Pittsburgh to compete at the next level.

Oh -- and he "won" the "baton" in our Epiphany cake.

Our "Congratulations" glass has been getting the rounds at dinner times!

2021: Off to a good start

A New Year means a new box to paint!  We still love putting all our mementos from the year in a box -- and going through previous years' boxes each New Year's Day.  (We discovered last year that moving all the boxes from one house to another -- and up 3 flights of stairs -- is indeed a labor of love.)

Despite covid restrictions and guidelines, we convinced the Boyer fam to come up for a New Year's dinner and fun night.  Always good to see them!

The first week of the new year also brought some skiing -- in the front yard....

.... and on the slopes.

And... it has been a very good season to spend a lot of time at the coffee shop!
