Archery Camp

While Miles was Ligonier Camp this summer, having a grand ol' time, Jinna went to Archery Camp at GCCA.  This was huge for her because up until now she had had a hard time even holding the bow steady.  She showed great improvement and was getting some good scores by the end -- after faithfully doing a lot of exercises this summer!

Disc Golf Mania

This summer has been largely dominated by disc golf.  Every day the boys go play, sometimes with their youth group, sometimes with friends, sometimes alone, and sometimes Jinna joins in.  Good thing there are a lot of places to play around here!

Miles got his first hole-in-one!

BIG Family Weekend

We made the most of the time with all the relatives in town!  Thankfully, the weather was perfect all weekend and we were able to eat all of our meals outside, go for hikes, play disc golf, etc.  We're so glad everyone came!

Celebrating Rayna

A couple weeks after his official graduation ceremony we had a weekend-long party for her!  The majority of both sides of our extended family came to Grove City to surround her with love, and she enjoyed every minute of it!

The culmination of it all was a party on Sunday afternoon in the backyard full of friends and family.  It was a whirlwind but so much fun!

Field Trip: Carnegie Museums

The Carnegie museums are offering free membership to teenagers now, so it seemed like a no-brainer for us to go since we have 4 teens in the house this summer!

We had a fun time exploring. Surprisingly, I think everyone agreed the art museum was the best part.  It was awesome seeing actual paintings that we had learned about -- the real things!

Rayna's graduation!

Our joyful little girl grew up -- and graduated!

I have never seen a graduate enjoy the experience quite as much as Rayna did.  She loved every aspect of the week, the cap and gown, the rehearsals, the ceremony, the people surrounding her.  I think she felt like a movie star.

It was threatening to rain all day, but the evening ended up being very nice, even slightly cool, which was good weather for sitting in outdoor bleachers for 2 hours!

We'll celebrate Rayna more in the coming weeks...
