One day last week the kids and I decided to walk over to the Historical Society and check out what kinds of things they have.
It turns out they have a lot. I expected a couple of rooms' worth of displays, but they actually have over TWENTY rooms full of items. A volunteer there led us through them ALL... for free, mind you. After a while we had to wave the white flag.... None of us had geared up for such a walk through history - -in the middle of summer, mind YOU!
Nevertheless it was an interesting afternoon and we all learned a lot about how our town used to look and operate!
