Sightseeing

Our vacation is off to a great start!  Today we traveled through the Chiemsee region of Germany, stopped in Salzburg, and then continued south in Austria to Annaberg where we have rented a house for the week. Here are the...

Top 10 Things We Saw Today:

1. Free breakfast buffet at the hotel this morning -- the best breakfast I've had in... maybe ever.

2. Lake Chiemsee -- especially the view from the small boat we rented for a little while:

3. The Salzburg fortress (from a distance today... hope to go in closer another day).  It looks so majestic high up on the hill!

4. Helbrunn Palace 

5. The palace gardens - and the giant fish!

6. The trick water fountains on our tour.  We all got very wet!  That Prince Archduke sure had a good sense of humor back in the 1600's!

We're very sad my parents aren't able to join us here after all.... but we're excited that Sue and Al are coming tomorrow!!  Looking forward to a fun week....
