Ohio greetings

Along with what seems to be about 70% of our NC acquaintances, we like to summer (at least for a few days) in Ohio. (I use the term "summer" lightly, since it did not reach above 70 degrees the first several days of our trip. I also use it gleefully because "summer" as a verb is funny.)

Since last year we "summered" in NY instead, it has been 2 years since we've been at Grandpa and Gee-Gee's house, so for the 2 younger boys, this trip was full of "firsts." They both enjoyed doing the most important things as soon as we got out of the car: Miles enjoyed meeting his grandfather for the first time, and Colsen enjoyed meeting his grandfather's tractor for the first time.

We are thankful to have this time to visit with Pete's parents, and much of the rest of his family, and we're also grateful for time with friends here, too. A few days ago, my good friend Stacy and her family came to meet us at Kingwood gardens, and we had a wonderful time catching up-- and getting to meet sweet and precious Ella!
What a blessing to have our children get to play together! I never could have pictured this 15 years ago.

This trip has been full of good memories already!
