A 5-years-old tradition

Our family tradition for when a child turns 5 is to take a trip to Build-A-Bear where they can create a special little friend.  Strider and Rayna each had their turns on their 5th birthdays....

(Coincidentally, they both invited girls named Elizabeth to join them!)

Well TODAY it was Colsen's turn to take part in the tradition.... and he got to bring TWO special people.... cousins Kai and Branson.

The boys all had the opportunity to pick out a bear and then the bear expert lady took them around to the different stations where they got to stuff the bear (with lots of "muscles" of course!), put some hearts in, give them baths, dress them and name them.

Colsen and Branson ended up picking identical bears, and then identical outfits as well!  So now they're twin bears on the same soccer team.  Kai opted to keep hugging a pink bunny instead.  :)

Colsen was excited to bring home his new friend, who he named Teddy Franklin Vee by the way, and introduce him to his siblings!

And I think he'll get along just fine with Strider's and Rayna's bears...

Below is Zeke, Ishi-Lana, and Teddy Franklin Vee.  It's a growing family!
