100th day of school

Last year I kept a record of what we did on our 100th day of school, so I thought I'd do it again this year.  (We like any reason to celebrate something special!)

Can you tell what number we're making here?!

Today, along with our regular school activities, we have...

-- read Psalm 100 aloud (and the kids took the "make a joyful noise" part a little bit too far)
-- throughout the day done 100 jumping jacks, 100 push-ups, 100 squat-thrusts, and 100 stomach crunch things (which, according to my pilates-teaching friend Melanie, are actually called "100's!")

-- jumped for 100 seconds
-- completed worksheets that count by 2's, 5's and 10's to 100 (Rayna and Colsen)

--written paragraphs about what school was like 100 years ago, and what it may be like 100 years from now (Strider)

-- washed approximately 100 dishes
-- laundered approximately 100 clothing items (ok, that one is an exaggeration)

We also had our 2nd language lesson today with Doamna (Mrs.) Fala and she taught us how to count to 100 in Romanian!

And then, because it's such a special day, we got corn-and-pepperoni pizza for dinner.  :)

I have a feeling it might take 100 reminders and commands to get these kids to bed tonight, so off we go to start that routine...
