This week

We arrived home and hit the ground running earlier this week.  Pete and I are both starting to scramble, getting things ready for courses we're teaching this fall, as well as writing a paper (Pete) and preparing for teaching our kids this school-year (me).  We also tackled some big home projects this week, including cleaning out our bonus room to make it a bedroom now for one of the kids.  As a result of this, we decided we're going to have a Yard Sale starting tomorrow!

It's been a hectic, busy and productive week.... but not very exciting or blogging-worthy. Sooooo, instead I'll write about Strider's week, which has been much more interesting.

He has stayed behind in Minnesota with all the relatives, vacationing way up North (11 miles from Canada) in some cabins near the boundary waters.  According to his phone calls and emails, he's been having a blast! We received some pictures today, and could see why.  :)

I'm very glad he's having a chance to portage and kayak and do all kinds of outdoor-y adventures, as well as spend more time with his cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents!

The weirdest thing for me this week has been writing emails to him, and signing them, "Love, Mom."  I've never written messages like that before!

We're both growing up...
