Pete and I are on a little getaway for a couple days (!!!) and this morning we decided to do some hiking. We were trying to pick a good spot, and when we realized we could get 38% off the admission price at Chimney Rock, the bargain-hunter in me couldn't resist. So off we went!After climbing 472 steps, we reached the landmark with the famous flag -- and the view was gorgeous. (In the background, you can see Lake Lure.)
Then we followed another trail to go see a waterfall...
Found it!
It's been one of the best Wednesdays ever!
Now we're off to stroll around downtown Hendersonville...
