On Friday, the girls in Rayna's praise dance class went to a nursing home to perform a few songs. It's always such a joy to watch them dance!
It should be easy to pick out Rayna in the pictures below -- she's the only one who's not tall with long blond hair. :)
Miles and Colsen were cooperative audience members.... except for when Miles spotted one of the residents sleeping with his mouth open reclined in his wheel chair, and insisted on yelling the following:
"THERE'S A MAN WHO DIED! WHY IS THERE A MAN WHO DIED, MOM?"
I quickly whispered that he was not actually dead, just sleeping. But Miles wasn't having it:
"THEN WHY IS HIS MOUTH LIKE THIS??" (imitating the poor man)
That little boy only has one volume level -- very loud -- which can be a real problem in situations like this!
After the little concert was over, the kids handed out a few ornaments we had made. Miles was quick to declare,
"BUT NOT TO THE DEAD MAN, RIGHT, MOM?"
Thankfully, there were plenty of very much alive residents who were smiling and happy to see the girls dance, and even thought my boys were cute. So overall, it was a delightful time. :)
