First (annual?) "Strong Man Competition" in Lake Park

For the GateWay program that Strider is going through, the boys were tasked to demonstrate leadership abilities by planning an event.  Strider and his friend Andrew chose to organize a "Strong Man Competition" for boys ages 8-15, and this morning was the big day.

We went up to watch for part of it (and to bring rice-krispie treats) and it looked like it was a great time!  The boys had 7 events lined up, some team activities (like tug of war and a dead-weight tow relay), and some for individuals (like a canon-ball throw, long-jumping contest, and a running race).  They kept a running score for all the events and the top 3 point-earners at the end were given certificates and a gift card.  The weather could not have been more perfect!
