Tuberculosis Center Update: Please Help?

When Pete went back to Moldova last month, he was able to visit the TB kindergarten/orphanage and see the progress that is being made on replacing all the doors and windows.  The good news is that SO MUCH has changed!  A lot of work has been done, as evidenced by the large piles of old windows lying around the property, and all the sparkly new working windows and doors installed.  What a beautiful thing to see!  Liuba and the children were all radiant and so grateful.

Ray and Irina from Moldova World Children's Fund toured with Pete
Old windows taken out!

New windows looks good!
The hard reality, though, is that the building is very old and the workers did not anticipate how much structural damage there would be around each of the window casements.  So... the total cost of the project has grown significantly, and Moldova World Children's Fund has been spending money they do not even have in hand to continue the work.  At this point, it looks like we still have another $9,250 to raise.

Pete and I have started to feel a small bit of despair as we think about how daunting that is.... But then this morning I was reminded again that God is a big God, and He can find this money whenever and however He wants to.  We've been amazed by how people have come forward so generously in the last several months, and we knew there is a great Hand here at work.  So we will wait and see what happens next!

In the meantime, I created this rough video documenting the progress over the last 9 months.  Click here to see the video.

And if anyone would like to donate towards the completion of this project, please send checks to:

Moldova World Children's Fund
P.O. Box 548
Hendersonville, NC 28793-0548

All of the money you send goes straight to this place, and real lives are being changed in real time!

p.s. Another way you can help out is through your online shopping.  If you're planning on making any purchases from regular big-brand-name stores, like Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Apple, etc., you can sign up to "back" this project through PureCharity.com.  A percentage of the sales will be put into an account that you can then donate to MWCF.  (95% of the money raised through this site goes directly to the project).  Here is a link to get you started on this:
